The mechanical issue with Justin Trudeau’s aircraft left him stranded on Sunday, September 10, while he was visiting India for the G20 Summit. According to CBC news, his replacement flight, which was en route from Canada, was rerouted to London, further delaying his trip back home.

The replacement flight, which was routing through Rome on its way to Delhi, was diverted to London. The earliest the plane would leave London is early Tuesday morning (local time), the Canadian Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said, citing the CBC news report.

In preparation for the G20 Summit, Trudeau and his son Xavier landed in Delhi on September 8. The date of his departure was set for September 10. However, a problem with his Airbus caused him to extend his stay in Delhi.

The Canadian Armed Forces sent its CC-150 Polaris plane to pick up Trudeau after the plane that he took to Delhi was grounded due to technical issues, the Toronto Sun reported on Monday.

A Canadian government source told CBC news that a technician has been sent to India with a replacement part for the Airbus jet that was grounded in Delhi. If the Airbus aircraft complies with all aviation safety requirements, Trudeau may still board it.

However, another jet will be flown to Delhi to pick up Trudeau and his team in the event that neither the Airbus plane nor the replacement flight are available.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
