India vs New Zealand 2nd Test: Rishabh Pant run out in unfortunate fashion; India in deep trouble

Indian wicketkeeping star Rishabh Pant was unfortunately run out on the third day of the second Test against New Zealand at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. India faced the challenge of chasing a mammoth target of 359 runs to win the game and even the series. However, they faced intense pressure as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant were dismissed consecutively in the second session.

Jaiswal scored a well-crafted 77 runs off 65 balls before getting caught at slip, while Pant was run out at the striker’s end in an attempt to take a quick single. During the 23rd over of the Indian innings, the event occurred when Kohli directed a ball from Ajaz Patel towards short-third man.

Kohli noticed a chance to score one run quickly, so he called Pant and the wicketkeeper batsman quickly responded. Nevertheless, he was unable to make it to the crease even after diving full length as Santner, positioned at backward point, rushed to retrieve the ball and threw it to the wicketkeeper Tom Blundell, resulting in a run out.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
