Baba Siddique death: ‘Hurt’ Salman Khan cancels all meetings; family members request privacy
Concerns have increased about actor Salman Khan’s security following the murder of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique. The family has asked many of his industry friends not to visit the actor, as security personnel stationed outside his Galaxy apartment in Bandra have increased.
According to India Today sources, Salman Khan is feeling extreme sorrow and distress following the loss of his close friend Baba Siddique. Upon arriving home from Lilavati Hospital last night, the actor found it difficult to sleep and has been regularly keeping an eye on Zeeshan (Baba Siddique’s son) and the rest of the family.
Sources also mentioned that Salman’s immediate family members are equally hurt by the tragedy. Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan were also very tight with Baba and attended his Iftaar gatherings frequently.

Salman considered Baba like a family member
Salman considered the deceased leader more than just a friend, almost like a member of his own family. When they went to Galaxy to see the actor, they were warmly greeted with a lot of love. In the same manner as a loyal friend, Salman hurried to be by the family’s side following the unfortunate event.
Following the assassination, visuals show how security has been increased outside Khan’s Galaxy Apartments. Earlier this year, two men opened fire outside his house. They were, later, arrested in Gujarat.
The Mumbai Police has filed a case related to Siddique’s homicide, citing relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Arms Act, and the Maharashtra Police Act.
Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, declared that Siddique will be given complete state honors at his cremation. Siddique had served as a minister in the Maharashtra government between 2004 and 2008, as well as the chairman of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA).
