Woman’s aunt filed complaint with Sabji Mandi Police Station after the incident
A case has been filed against a Delhi lawyer after a 21-year-old woman said he raped her inside his chamber at Tis Hazari Court on the pretext of offering her a job. On July 30, the woman’s aunt filed a complaint with Sabji Mandi Police Station.
In her complaint, the woman’s aunt stated that her niece was looking for work and she provided her with the lawyer’s contact. After contacting the lawyer, the woman was invited to his office to demonstrate her educational credentials.

Lawyer allegedly inserted finger in her private part
The lawyer informed the woman that he would hunt for a job for her in the next 8-10 days. According to the complaint, after 10 days, the woman contacted the lawyer again, and the two began texting. The lawyer also allegedly informed the victim that “everyone needs good friends in life”.
On July 27, the woman was again called into the lawyer’s office. The woman claimed in the complaint that after they had spoken for a while, the attorney forced himself on her and inserted his finger in her private area.

Lawyer allegedly threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone
As the woman began to scream, the lawyer warned her with severe repercussions if she notified anybody about the incident. The woman’s accusation stated that he handed her Rs 1,500 and ordered her to go.
After returning home, the woman narrated the ordeal to her aunt, who subsequently contacted the police. Police said a probe is ongoing in the matter.
