Army vehicle attacked by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district
An army vehicle was attacked by terrorists in Billawar region in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Monday.
Two jawans were injured in the attack and have been rushed to the hospital.
A gunfight is on between the terrorists and the army personnel after a search operation by the army, sources said.
According to sources, the terrorists opened fire on the army vehicle from the top of a hill. They also threw explosives at an army vehicle, according to sources.

Terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir have risen in recent weeks.
Twin terror strikes in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district occurred on June 11 and 12.

On June 11, six security personnel were injured when terrorists attacked a joint checkpoint in Chattargalla, and on June 12, a police officer was hurt in a gunfight with terrorists at Kota top in the Gandoh area.
Following the attacks, security forces stepped up anti-terrorist operations and announced a monetary reward of Rs 5 lakh for four Pakistani militants suspected of infiltrating and operating in the district.
On June 26, three militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in a woodland in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district. Following two terrorist strikes in the hilly district on June 11 and 12, police, the Army, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) increased their search and cordon operation, killing the terrorists.
