Around 150 people were left stranded at Chennai Airport on Monday after an Air India flight to Delhi was delayed. The flight was scheduled to leave Chennai on Monday at 10.05 a.m. However, travellers were left to wait at the airport’s boarding gate.
The passengers said that they had not been informed about why the flight was delayed. They also said that they weren’t offered any alternative flights by the airline.
Similar incident occurred on Sunday when passengers on an Air India flight from London to Delhi were left stranded at the Jaipur airport after the aircraft had to make an emergency landing there because of poor weather.
The London-bound aeroplane was given permission to resume flying to Delhi after roughly two hours, but the pilot declined to take the controls, claiming restrictions on flight duty time.
